First Adventure

Concept

[ Center : All ]

This is a real adventure for the children as they are away from their mothers for the first time. Children will observe the unique rhythm and sound of English naturally through songs, movements and craft activities. As a preparatory class for preschool, this class is the place where children will start to become independent, learn to interact with others and gain confidence.

Class Schedule

Below is an example. Minutes vary according to each center.

Free Play Time

Children warm up for the day enjoying their own areas of interest including playing house, reading books, and etc.
Free play is also a time when students can interact with the teacher and friends of the same age.

Circle Time

Circle time is a structured opportunity to engage in the development of social skills including taking turns and listening to each other with respect. Circle time starts with greeting and a simple self introduction. And children learn vocabulary based on the monthly theme using flashcards.

Songs and Movements

Children develop a sense of rhythm and coordination while singing and dancing with the teacher and their friends.

Toilet & Snack Time

Children have a light snack during the class.
Starting from polite requests “Snack, please.” and “Tea, please”.
Children practice good table manners.

Activity / Story Time

Activity Time...Children are given the opportunity to express their creativity through a variety of fun arts and crafts related to the Monthly theme.
Story Time...Children sit around the teacher for Story Time.
Stories are not only teaching children about the world, but they help in their English acquisition and captivate them with vivid colors and pictures.

Sticker & Good-Bye Time / Explanation to Parents

Time to wrap up. Teachers and bilingual staff explain a result of the lesson to parents.

Teaching Materials

Corresponding with the curriculum, we use Kids International original teaching materials. Some materials can be used at home to reinforce class activities. We thoroughly support children in their acquisition of English by linking Kids International and your home.
